Obviously, this is not ideal, unless you were hoping to thin out your roster a little. Though we've done so much, there's still so much we haven't had time to do. At 200 stress, the character will suffer a heart attack and arrive on death’s door. Most of your heroes will need a week or two of rest (why you have 20+ heroes) to have thier stress go down by 5 points a week, and 0 level heroes will likely gain more stress. It increases as your party continues deeper into the horrors that wait below, and when it reaches 100, they will may spiral towards madness and gain a negative affliction. It feels like a really lazy way of having a money sink in the game. I mean so far Ive never had a quest be jeopardized by stress and it just feels like a silly obstacle, it goes up far too fast and its just too slow to remove it. Stress is one of the most unique features of Darkest Dungeon. I like the game and the atmosphere but I really feel stress damage makes the game too much of a chore.
